Abarth 500 - Rear Diffuser Help?

Evening,
I bought a new (genuine) rear diffuser for my Abarth 500 as the existing one was really faded and not responding to any of the products I used to try and revive the original lustre.
Removing the diffuser is causing me some issues, I have located two 8mm screws which go straight up into mountings in the underside of the car however I cannot for the life of me see anymore fixings or even get it to budge.
The new one has the two holes for the 8mm screws and then around the outside about two dozen plastic 'lugs' which look like they locate into holes in the bumper?!?!
Totally perplexed and desperate to get the new one fitted, quick Google suggests it might be awkward but talks about tabs and I can't see any tabs and there aren't any on the new one so really stumped. Be super grateful if anyone could help!
