How is Racing Rod doing?
Discussion
Hear, hear!
Especially good as the car never got above fourth gear owing to the diff that was fitted (more suited to Bathurst apparently). Keeping some revs round the twisty bits was rendered somewhat difficult.
Still, they got to the finish which is the best possible result that could have been hoped for.
Well done chaps.

Also, were involved in a few of their own battles. Jan looked like he was getting a bit mullered for the first 15 minutes, but when the Porsche (99 I think) came into range the situation changed somewhat. He would have got him had the faster cars kept spreading them out, but the pressure obviously told in the longrun with a very large 911 shaped groove being cut into the gravel trap at the old hairpin.
Hi all,
Didn't get home until 0130hrs this am, so a bit knackered hence the late post.
Thanks for the kind words and support and yes, we are well pleased to have finished our first GT race, what a great birthday present for friday last, and thanks V8 for not posting the age
We now know that we have a lot to do, we got down to a 1.18.5 in the race so a little more respectable, we don't think the car can do much more then this without changes, so we hope to do the following
(1) Change the diff from the present 3.45 (tall)
to a 3.91 or a 3.73, should give us 2/3 secs
(2) lose 60klg from front bumper/valance and rear
bumper/valance, front screen (glass) heater
unit, (I'm not kidding,it's still in there)
extra dash removed, door locks, all unused
dials and wiring, teasmaid, cup holders,
stereo, and air/con, only joking about the
last four bits.
(3) Change injection system, air filters and a
other secret bits and try to get our
power up to 310bhp at the back wheels as
opposed to the 270 we have at present.
That's the plan, all I need now is the extra budget to pay for all the changes. We plan to come out again with some or all of this work done for Thruxton at the end of May, but if we can get some of it done sooner, we may pitch up at Croft on the 7/8th of May, lets see.
cheers all, and thanks again for the interest.

You been at GT4 on the Playstation again Rod?
Congratulations on the finish: onwards & upwards.
can't resist it
we'll do our best to improve, but we have a small, even tiny budget compared to most of the other teams
A few more of my photos from Sundays race Shame my Coupe couldn't make it, but seeing as Rod has the fastest colour I guess I'll be able to carry on
Few more of the Hawthorns car..
Few of the Big Fish car..
Hopefully I'll be able to get down to a few more races over the season to see the coupes improvement..
