With all this talk of not using Spa, and getting rid of others, what ciruits would you like to see used by modern F1 cars?

To start, I want to see:

The European GP at Brands Hatch, in its current state
The Australian GP at the Bathurst circuit
The US GP on an oval

The former needs too much work, the latter would encourage comparison with CART. But bathurst???

Does anyone know if this could hold a GP???

British GP at Goodwood in it's current state, just to see how big Schumachers balls really are.
US GP at Watkins Glen - Fabulous location in upper NY state.
The old Nurburgring with it's 43 odd corners!
South African GP back at Kyalami, although I heard a rumour that a housing estate has been built on it.
Zandvort in Holland as the sand from the nearby beaches makes the track a bit slippery and would make racing interesting again.
Japanise GP back at Fuji. Dramatic backdrop and always rains there.

Bathurst just wouldn't work. It's a great circuit for a V8 supercar, but for something with the speed and grip of a F1 car over the top of mount panorama would end up in the crowd I feel, it's waay too up and down.

Laguna seca would be really cool I think tho

Isn't that the point - GP are so boring nowadays, lets make em interesting and test the drivers properly..... SOunds like a fine idea to me.

I vote for Cadwell Park mainly coz its just the best circuit posible & the thought of 800hp F1 cars going all light over the mountain.....sweeeet.

I watched the Superbikes or MotoGP there a few weeks back, that corkscrew looks absolutely mad!

The old Nurburgring - The original full 20 odd mile job, Nordschliefe (sp?) and Sudenschlief (sp?) combined.

Nordschliefe
Laguna Seca
Le Mans
Targa Florio - the track used '48 - '50. 670-mile circuit around the coast of Sicily.
Miglia Millia - F1 doing 1000 miles around Italian Roads

Come on!

Mosport Park (?) in Canada.

Good enough for ALMS so would not need much to get it to F1 standard.

Trouble is it is off the beaten track, so the money men will not be happy.

One of the old style .. Reims .. nice long straight & fast corners - an it's a street circuit

www.racingcircuits.net/France/_gp.html
There's also Montlhery, Pau & Tours

Gotta agree with the Nurburgring & Goodwood in modern F1's
2 jumps on the Nurburgring

I watched a NASCAR race at Watkins Glen; the Glen should be back on the calender.

you can also add

Kylami, Anderstop, Zandvort, Brands Hatch, Paul Richard etc etc etc

The old Silverstone and the old Monza.

Get rid of Ecclescakes and we might see some racing.

1976 the last true great GP year
