I really can't make up my mind about whether it is worth it.

My car is an 02 Tam with Bison and Lamonta - it doesn't look terrible, but it certainly isn't factory fresh. Yet, I just can't being myself to justify spending the thousands of pounds on a re-trim.

Am I the only one here close to pulling the trigger but not quite willing to sink the cost?

Cheers.

I need mine doing but I would still like to put a Tuscan Mark 1 interior in it though trying to find the parts is very difficult.

As long as you don't expect to get your money back if/when you sell, I'd get it done. In general, the longer you leave it the more it will cost and a pristine interior definitely helps to sell a car.

I kept thinking about getting the car re-trimmed, then my wife convinced me to get it done as a birthday present.
I used Simon at SF Car Trim.
He helped me through the decision processes and remained incredibly patient with my indecision! Finally I selected two colours of proper leather and a beautiful dense pile carpet.
Simon had the car for a few weeks, kept me informed every step of the way and sent photographs at various key stages.
The final result was fantastic and everytime I open the door and get that smell of real leather I am reassured it was the right thing to do. Also I really enjoy all of the admiration Simon's work gets whenever people look inside my car - the guy is a true artist!

I know that the re-trim will not increase the value of the car by anything close to covering the cost. However, it means I enjoy the car even more than I did and, unlike most other cars, at least I have spent money on an appreciating asset.

Similar......... 02 with bison, which got pretty yukky in the years previous. Blue car with blue and cream interior and dark blue carpets. The bison in cream was pretty grubby in the end..........

Finally pulled the trigger 18 months ago, it was in for a few weeks (Devon), the result is faaaar better than i ever thought possible ! As above, i know it won't massively affect the value but i care not, i'm not selling the car and every time i get in it i smile............ Go for it, you won't be disappointed if you get a good job done !!

Simon did my 911, full ret-rim including the boot, after taking a year or so to make a decision on who to use I'm so glad I went to Simon, top bloke and top work!! I wish I had got my T350 done as I was never really enamoured with what came out the factory. I don't think you can put a price on the buzz it gives you, I’ve just driven the 911 for the first time in two months and sitting in the interior just makes the smile all the more bigger smile

Just my 2p worth. If you're not quite ready for an interior refresh yet. I used one of the those magic eraser sponges. Brings up the bison really well with a bit of water. I was sceptical at first but it makes a huge difference - it works a bit like a pencil eraser on a bigger level. I got the seats retrimmed as there were a couple of holes and then got some carpet dye. Car looks infinitely better inside for a fraction of the cost. It will do until I'm ready to fork out for the whole job.
