This may have been mentioned before, but it's new to me:

Lots of maxed out speedo pictures, with plenty of Porsche representation. For example a 490bhp Ruf Turbo R at 218mph - tut tut

Check out the acceleration of the Turbo Hyabusa (especially after he lands the wheelie and opens it up fully).

It doesn't look like he is going anywhere near as fast as the speedo shows. You shouldn't be able to make out the white lines at that speed surely. I've done about 140 on my bike and it seemed a lot more scary.

I guess a fast shutter speed might freeze the lines. In the halcyon days before speed cameras I did max out my 928S2 at 165mph, and it wasn't that scary. The scenery was approaching pretty fast but the car was completely stable. Passing cars that were only doing 70-80mph was quite exciting though

Assuming it's video footage, I don't think shutter speed comes into it. It could be due to the lense setup/camera angle I guess, but the scenery doesn't seem to be going by as fast as it should. Maybe it's just my eyesight.

In my experience doing 140 in a car doesn't feel anything like 140 on a bike.

In the days when I still had brass kahoonahs I rode a 1175 Suzuki GSXR11000R off the speedo and was trapped with two different devices (organised top end run) one device (Lines) showed 304kph and the other (Hand Held Gatso) showed 309kph and it wasn't scary till you sat up at that speed, I remember the helmet visor touching my nose and thinking it was serious windrush!

I also remember some chappie in a Porsche being trapped at the same event doing 294kph (cant remember what Porsche is was though, All I remeber is thinking to myself that it sounded like a jet engine coming toward me. Best speed of the day for a car was a guy with a Mazda RX 7 Rotary engine in a morris minor body trapped at 315kph, Imaging that shitty little body at that speed, thats frightening!!!!

Ok; I'm the Chief Moron of the Morons Who Utilise PCs Society so forgive the problem ignorance of the following question:

Er, like erm, what the hell is a 'Gator' when it's not chewing your outboard in the Everglades?

Sorry, Captain Computo-Cretin.

No idea, and it certainly didn't install anything on mine.

Gator is a tool that is used on your PC to remember usernames, passwords, addresses, etc. Basically anything that you need to enter on a regular basis.
