Hi everyone,

I'm servicing my rear derailleur (105) which works on a pin and bush arrangement. Is white lithium grease okay for lubricating the pins? Seems okay upon reassembly however was wondering whether anyone has had positive or negative experiences or knows otherwise?

Kind regards,

Matt

Grease is grease, I couldn't see any issue.

Do they need any grease? I'd have thought the grease would just get full of debris that would accelerate the wear on the wheels.

I just use a little dry chain lube - keeps them quiet and doesn't seem to pull in dirt. Works well enough for the teeth to have worn out before the bushes on the last pair I had, at any rate.
