This will be our 3rd year heading down to the GP in Monaco and the group has grown from 2 people in a single car, to 7 people in 4 cars. This year promises to be the best yet.

This year we have the following cars in our group:
911 997.1 (G)
M135i LCI (Rob)
M4 (Nath)
M3 (Anthony)

The rough plan so far:

Tuesday 23rd - Meet at the channel tunnel early evening and head as far as Troyes where we will stop overnight. Its along slog but last year we only went as far as Saint Quentin and we thought this was far too short. It’s only 250 miles to Troyes from the Calais and sets us up better for Wednesday.

Wednesday 24th – Up early and take the autoroute all morning to Villard-de-Lans in the Vercors. We are skipping the visit to the old GP circuit in Reims and the D996 having done this for the past 2 years. Once we are at Vercors and after some lunch, our trip will get interesting and will spend the afternoon winding our way to Cagnes-Sur-Mer, which will be our base for the next 5 days.

Thursday 25th – After a long drive the day before we’ll have the day off. Maybe head to Monaco for Thursdays practice session or sit by the pool.

Friday 26th – All 4 cars will head out on a full day’s drive in the Alps. Routes TBC when we know what is open. Some of the passes can still be closed at this time of year.

Saturday 27th – Another day’s drive in the Alps and a night out in Monaco.

Sunday 28th – Head to a place near the track to watch the GP on TV and have a few beers. Having been to watch the race track side in previous years, we do not feel the need to go track side this year. We’ll probably do a bit more partying post-race but not too late.

Monday 29th – Get on the road and take a scenic drive to Annecy where we will do an overnight stop.

Tuesday 30th – Non-stop back to Blighty.

Wi-Fi allowing, we’ll upload our progress each day with Photo’s and there will be some video too. You can see a video from our previous Scotland NC500 trip last month here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIspVbMxVvQ&t=...

Make sure to give us a wave if you spot us or feel free to join the convoy.

Also, if you have any suggestions, please feel free to comment.
