Le Mans 24 Hours coming to UK
Discussion
Thanks to deal between the owner of several race tracks, a race series promoter and the oganisers of the Le Mans 24 Hours race the 2006 Le Mans 24 Hours will take place at a track in the UK yet to be decided.
One of the reasons for the move was that the Mayor of Le Mans said he had complaints about noise and traffic problems on the Mulsanne during the race.
Also the prevoius organisers of the race said that it was only fair that British motorsport fans got to see the race without crossing the channel.
The organisers have also decided to introduce a Cup Class for next years race where cars not previous eligible for Le Mans like the Citreon 2CV, Skoda Octavia and VW Polo will be able to take part.
