Would prefer as sub 5 second 0-60, and must be Euro 4 for the new extended LEZ in London?

Absolutely this in my opinion.

A superb car, I really want one (well, the Cayman), alas, family commitments loom and I simply cannot frown

Not for £40k you won't.

To be honest, any relatively modern sub-£40k convertible will be in fairly big depreciation territory

This one just sold for £39k

Here's a guide on what is Euro 4 etc

https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/know-how/euro-e...

The other option is a late RS4 4.2

Thanks but no joy, I think I have extrapolated the link you are referring to, I was after one that listed the cars and I could browse through as opposed to entering the car reg and then finding out the spec smile

Or is there a date that roughly all cars are Euro 4, circa 2006?

Basically any petrol car built after 2006 will be euro 4 compliant.

I have a wife, two kids and a dog. Bought my 981S a couple of months ago and love it. Makes family outings a little tricky though !
