Having wanted one of these for ages, I finally said to myself "stuff it" and hunted for a nice one. I've only owned it for a few days and cleaned it up to my standard. It has all the necessary improvements done by the previous owner who had it for 6 years and these include a Q2 LSD, metal water pump, CF2 manifolds + equal length downpipes and also full KW3 suspension smile. It has had an awful amount of money spent on it over the years so fingers crossed for fairly straight forward servicing costs now.... I did a search on here for other Alfa 147 GTA's and one titled thread was "am I mad?" I think I'll go with that as well biggrin

But of course this car is all about the engine. 'That' noise. It sounds amazing. Taking it to the red line produces such a thrilling sound and even when idling at some traffic lights you can virtually feel the engine thrumbling away. I popped to town earlier and parked in a multi-storey car park and the temptation to push the clutch in and hit the red line with the right foot was too strong to resist. It literally sounded like a mini-exotic echoing off all the walls and pillars!

Having driven turbo cars for the past 6 years, this style of driving is totally different. I didn't expect such a change which I'm now having to get used to.

That is a thing of beauty, how well I remember a mate with. 3.7 supercharged conversion throwing me the keys and telling me to go and take his for a drive, still makes me smile.

Very nice. I dont think your mad, anything with an Alfa V6 can only go up in value, although an Alfisti will never be bothered about resale, enjoy it!!

Stunning. These and a 156 GTA are on my wish list. Been to buy a few over the years, just fell short in terms of condition for me.

Yours from Wiltshire? Re-mapped by Gus@Alfatune? Reg looks familiar smile

Yes, bought from Wiltshire. Yep that's the one I assume. Full service history by Auto Lusso and remapped by Gus. Do you know the car?

That is truly stunning, and to find one with those modifications is just about perfect. The diff transforms the car, the standard suspension is pants, and the standard manifolds are restrictive and cook the ECU. Xenon's are such a rare find as well. Has it got the 330mm front discs as well?

I'm sure you're going to love it. Whenever I see one I miss mine.

Yep 330mm fronts (with calipers refurbished) wink and also Eibach front and rear ARB's, carbon fibre front strut brace, Autolusso high spec oil cooler and radiator, heated leather seats and washer jets (winter pack), cruise control, BOSE speakers and the alloys are mint as well. Sorry biggrin

Congrats indeed.

I was in the market for a 147 GTA earlier in the year, and was tempted by this exact one. But in the end I didn't want red, owing to the fact I already had a red Alfa at home. So I bought this. Picture taken in the Peak District on the way home from collection.

The sound is absolutely epic!

I hope you'll have as much fun in yours as I do in mine.

Not personally, but i always check the classifieds and recognised the car/spec ( think it was on C+C ). One of the best looking cars out there. Enjoy.

Those are some exceptional pictures, and looks to be a lovely driveway/garage cloud9

The car is just a beautiful vessel for that engine. It's a masterpiece the like of which I expect we won't see again.

If it doesn't have a naughty exhaust already, you owe it to yourself smile
