Look bigger to me too; there is very little gap around them by comparison with my (factory standard) one.

Does it not clearly state in the description it has a Magnaflow exhaust ?

D'ohh !!! That is a very good point. I completely missed that ! I read the long description only !

I wonder why someone would go to he trouble of modding then get rid after so few miles ? Is this particular mod (the exhaust and cold air intake kit and whatever) considered desirable among those who know about such things ?

I managed to not notice that as well!
There are far more knowledgeable people than me on here, but fwiw, these mods are mainly about sound, so it's a question of whether you like it.
Assuming no custom tune, the cold air intake won't add significant power.
I'd check the small print of any warranty too- to make sure the mods don't invalidate it.

Exhaust is the 1st thing most of us do as the stock one is very quiet. CAI was one of my second mods but that was mainly to make the engine bay a bit more exciting, Amy power gain without a tune will be very minimal

Also not seen anyone fit that CAI before so would imagine the owner wasn't on any of the forums or owner clubs as there a few favourite CAI most go for.

This is what K& N claim for that CAI. Received opinion seems to be a bit cynical of these sort of gains though. Nevertheless it's interesting that K & N publish these graphs- not all competitors do. Note it actually reveals a torque reduction at low revs- ie at legal motorway speeds in 6th gear.
Make of it what you will!
