People are no doubt going to warn you of the potential depreciation of both but that aside I quite like the look of the new S301 Supermarine if you havn`t seen one yet!
It doesn't really appeal to me. It's not like I want something busy (I generally don't like complications, for example), but the S301's face just looks a bit empty.Doofus said:

Breitling for me, such a lovely clean face. In house movement as well in these now I think?
Nothing against Bremont, but for me the watch of theirs I'd want would be the MB.
The Breitling uses a Tudor-developed movement.Nothing against Bremont, but for me the watch of theirs I'd want would be the MB.
I know the MB is very popular, and I considered it, but I'm not really a fan of pilot watches, and I have no aviation connections for which the MB tie up would be meaningful
When they first launched the Supermarine, it blew me away. I've loved it ever since, but never owned one. It's now ten years old or so, and I wonder if I'm in love with the watch, or just the idea of it.
I'm also a fan of all the vintage revisits everone is making at the moment. Real vintage watches are too small for me, so the new 'trendy' ones seem perfect. I think the Breitling has a (haha) timeless look. It's a lot more understated than most Breitlings - a good thing in my opinion - but I'm not a dress watch person, so I don't know how it'll wear with jeans and a t shirt.

Both are quality products. I would go with the Bremont as I like the lumed sapphire bezel and the design has more character - I find the design of the Breitling to be somewhat bland.
This, plus being a Sinn and Damasko owner I like the idea of the hardened steel that Bremont use. Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
