I have an eBay account and for some reason every time someone sends me a payment via PayPal, it gets sent to *******@yahoo.com, now my PayPal account and eBay is registered to *_*_******@yahoo.co.uk. I have checked so many times on both my preferences. But each time I get paid the payment gets stuck and I can't access it.

How do get it so that when someone pays me it bills the correct account. if I clik on PayPal it takes me to my account, but when I try to retrieve funds it tells me to sign Up with Pay Pal.

I swear I've been through every possible option and preference.

Cheers

How about going to www.paypal.com and logging in with *_*_******@yahoo.co.uk to accept the payment manually?

I can log in but the payment isn't on that account. So I have to re invoice the buyer, then get them to cancel their previous payment and re send payment. It's just a massive hassle.

Hmm.. there must be a way you can change your e-mail address with PayPal. Or maybe open a new account to match the address you want. Haven't been there myself but there has to be a way. How about e-mailing Customer Support, either at PayPal or eBay?

You can change your registered address via your profile after your PayPal log in - I had to do this when I screwed up and lapsed my main hosting account, so lost my normal mail service. As I recall, you have to authenticate the change from the new mail account.

Also when you set up an auction on eBay you actually tell eBay what your PayPal address is, so when the buyer carries on to the automatic PayPal processing section they automatically send the payment to the correct address.

My guess is that your PayPal address as registered on eBay (not your eBay address - I'm talking about the address that eBay thinks is your PayPal address) is the wrong one.

Change that (either in the profile, which should be possible or failing which during the next time you start an auction) and you should be good to go.

Remember PayPal does it's business by e-mail address, not by eBay User ID. So what e-mail address or User ID you have registered on eBay is completely irrelevant - the two are not linked and eBay/PayPal does not cross-reference databases. You need to physically TELL eBay what your PayPal address is before eBay can send the payment to the correct place, and I'm pretty sure what's happening is that the address that eBay thinks is your PayPal address is the wrong one. I bet this has nothing to do with the settings on your PayPal account and is purely an eBay thing.
