Not quite "Forever Autumn" - at least, that part of the "War of the Worlds" album didn't feature in the single version of "Forever Autumn" (which I still have).

I have it on double CD and there are about 8 bonus tracks, basically the originals remixed a bit, nearly put it on the other day while I was tiling my kitchen.

Not from Forever Autumn which is one of my favourite tracks of all time, these lyrics are contained within the first movement of Justin Hayward's War of the Worlds, narated by Richard Burton.

Indeed. Interesting thing though - in the last couple of years when I've heard Forever Autumn being played on radio 2 they've played the WOTW album version including the little intro to Thunderchild, which makes no sense taken out of context...

Once saw a laser show to "War of the Worlds", well impressed. Next night, the show was to "Run like Hell" by Pink Floyd. Amazing.

What I can't understand is the end of the record, wgere there seems to be astronauts talking on the radio. It sounds like they're on a mission to Mars, but are surprised by apparent life.

If my interpretation is correct, then had they forgotten about the previous invasion?
