A bit of Mercedes C63 Coupe advice pls
Discussion
Afternoon everyone. I'm looking to buy a coupe version of the C63 (not the performance pack version) and was wondering if any owners had any tips or advice for things to look out for when buying?
I've had a read of the PH C63 buying guide and they generally seem to be reliable cars with no real issues on the coupe version?
Are there any essential options? I definitely want the panoramic roof. Is the Harmon Kardon stereo much better than standard?
My budget is £28k which I was hoping would get me in to a 2012 car. I've had a scan of Autotrader and most seem to be black or white which is a bit of a shame - the white is a bit too bling for my tastes and the black with black wheels and tints a bit too drug dealery. Maybe i could tolerate black with silver wheels, but the grey or maybe silver would be my preference. However that cuts out about 95% of the cars available!
In an ideal world I'd like to pick up a nice private sale example from an enthusiast, but it seems private sale cars seem to be priced the same as dealer cars on Autotrader! Even a few cars from Mercedes dealerships with warranty are similarly priced to private sales which is very strange. I always thought private sale prices should be a bit lower but doesn't seem to be the case with the C63

I'd worry less about the year & more on the spec:
The colour to look for is Palladium Silver:

Or the very rare Diamond Silver

I sold mine recently, and yes, it was at similar to dealer prices, but the other way to look at it was that it had done 8,000 miles, was literally as good as new, and was only just over half the new price from three years earlier.
All the coupes have the panoramic roof, I believe.
Mine was metallic white, with the black wheels, and rear privacy glass. A great car, and only sold as I wanted something a bit more fun in the bends.
