Has anyone shaved a few millimetres of the edge of a Brooks saddle to make it "give" just a little bit more ?

There's a guy on LFGSS who does work like this on the saddles, unless you know what you're doing I would steer clear as it's an expensive thing to muck up! If it's new and still hard then give it a few hundred miles, it will get better!

It's done 200 miles.

I did release the stretch bolt one full turn. That made it a little better.


Has anyone got a tin of patience?

200 miles? No where near half way to being comfortable yet, come back after another 800...

mine is 32 years old and is lovely , I wont tell you when it became lovely , it just became , end of .stick with it it will be worth it

Finally plucked up the courage and shaved a bit off.
Sanded it till the white line disappeared, about 8mm at the peak.
Now to test.
