Being dutiful of winter returning with a vengence, I filled my washer bottle at the weekend.
Returning home from work tonight my Elsie cut out three times on cornering. As I had fitted a new throttle body on Saturday, I suspected that the sensor on the body had worked loose and that ECU was shutting everything down.
Imagine my surprise when the culprit turned out to be the washer bottle coming loose from the bulkhead and dousing the battery with screenwash on corners.
Not good. I'm hoping no permanent damage to the electrics has happened, but I am going to secure the bottle more securely at the weekend; that that slide in affair maybe light but it certainly isn't secure....

Hmm, not good this morning; the speedo and tacho are now reading 20-30% higher than they should
Has anyone else had this problem?
Is there a way of resetting the stack/ECU to get the speedo/tacho rezeroed?
I'm going to try disconnecting the battery later to see if that sorts it.

sometimes the 111R clocks stick and show more than they should. there is a routine in the hand book for resetting. involves opening drivers door, pushing trip reset button, on turning on ignition. works for me. had to do it a couple of times.
