Why can some PH'ers not see my photos???

I have been posting photos on PH since I joined and never had a problem until now.

Hopefully the PH backroom bods can help.........

For some reason your images on that thread only have the img tags at the begining and at the end, not the full url - img xxxxxxxxxxx img url

Edit yours to see, then quote mine below to see the difference.

I can't see them on my laptop and, since the 'update', several other threads I could previously see them in have gone the same way.

They won't load because they are being referenced by HTTPS and that fails

Are you editing the link that is generated? As it is missing the 2nd half as well.

And as mentioned above PH has changed to htpps and your links not working are still http. See mine below.

I think in future I'll just use the feature on PH to avoid messing about.....



I have now added all my photos on the thread using this feature now.

I'm at work and I cannot see your images. I would assume that there must be some kind of block on the sites that you are using that certain people cannot view.

I can't see them and am using google chrome.

Things have really messed up since the change over. In my garage and profile page I can't view any of my photo's in chrome.
If I go to explorer some show but are all different sizes,trying to view members cars 9/10 don't show for me.
And for six weeks all members garage sections that hold info have </a> <br/> <br/> /34637/"> etc and links don't show.
Hold your breath for a reply,I've been totally ignored from website feedback.. Utterly plain rude not to even have a reply.

This really needs sorting.....I've been putting photos on PH for years, no problem.

But something was broke As said all the garage sections have been messed up for near on six weeks and they haven't tried to fix it.
But it's just got a whole lot worse with this gti skin loosing all the photo's.

I just noticed you were using Tinypic (doh!)

Probably something wrong that end, I dumped it a while back and use https://imgsafe.org/ or http://imgur.com/ now for uploading outside of thumbsnap.

Yeah, Tinypic has been s**t for months now, very slow too.

(Guessing) Tinypic isn't a secure host so perhaps it doesn't have the security authority to be allowed to upload/host anything onto a secure HTTPS website now. Or a secure website can't display an outside link from a non-secure website. Or someone hasn't pressed the right buttons to allow it.

I think you're on to something HTTP is the culprit. I'll give them sometime to try and sort it before I start making changes using another file host.
Some might not like tinypic but it's worked perfectly for me over the years. I've got a lot of photo's so it won't be a 5 min job,wait patiently before I try image host as suggested.

If you are after a permanent online host then you can set up albums on http://imgur.com as I have an account on there.

I use imgsafe.org as a fast single upload but it has a login so perhaps that can as well.

This is a test to see if imgur (an http site) has permissions granted.
