I would be grateful for some advice

Went to the car this morning, opened the boot, all ok, 5 minutes later I went to get into the car and the door switch didn't work, luckily it was in the garage with the targa off so I jumped in and there was absolutely not an ounce of power so I plugged in a charger via the Anderson plug, but after 1 hour still nothing, I looked at some other threads and took out all the fuses relating to the alarm and immobiliser then refitted after a few minutes, still nothing, then a few minutes later the alarm start going off, the dash flickered on and off, eventually i managed to turn it on whilst it flickered on, started ok, drove ok, parked up and then intermittent electrics again.

I am assuming there is a fault with the alarm and/or immobiliser, does that sound likely? Do they often fail and is it just a question of ordering a new one to fit or is it likely to be something else?

Reading the thread about getting into a T350 sounds exactly the same fault as mine

Thanks

Have you also checked the 100 or maybe 120 Amps fuses?
It might happen that they crack mechanically with symptoms like you described at your car.

This happend to my former Chimaera when we were blasting up col Jaufen in Italy a few years ago.

I tightened the connection to the 80amp fuse in the footwell and it seems much happier, I'll see if it sorts it has resolved the problem over the weekend

The earth point behind the battery is a sod to tighten, you also need to hold the bolt in the footwell otherwise you might struggle to tighten it up properly

I can confirm - tightening it down in the foot well doesn't help, you need to get the wheel off and do it from the other side too!

100A fuse adjacent starter motor would be my 1st port of call.

Airbox off and black fuse-holder near starter is easily seen. NOTE!! the 'old' type of strip fuses may be hairline cracked, and break v. hard to see. Replace with 125A midi type fuse, direct swap and more mechanically robust.
