I went into the Wilmslow Rolex dealer .. service for a Sea Dweller ...£475 please sir.
It might take 13 weeks ..
While I am here can you you take a link out this Seiko watch .
Sorry sir we don't have tools for a Seiko watch .
I went across the road to the shoe repair shop bought 2 jars of shoe polish I noticed they also
change watch battery's . Can you take a link out of this watch ,no problem and no charge ..
It's seems some trades have a better idea of customer service than others ..

I think you've got a pretty deal on a Sea Dweller service, because I'm sure a service through Rolex for that model should be closer to £600 !!!

So you dropped your Rolex off at an AD and then, because you're forking out £475 for a service, are of the mind that they must be able to remove a bracelet link from a brand that they most probably don't sell? Blimey... And, as above, that sounds cheap for a SD service, though I've no first hand experience myself.

Not too sure what grounds you have for your grievance, to be honest. On the plus side, at least you've found somewhere trustworthy for future bracelet adjustments.

Personally I'd question a watch shop that can't remove a link from a Seiko, no matter what brand it is.

It's like a Toyota dealer not having an 18mm socket because they don't need that size on a toyota.

I'm not sure that I'd expect somewhere to have a tool that they wouldn't be reasonably expected to use, though I understand where you're coming from in the sense that Seiko bracelets aren't unique, if that was your point. Whatever, I'm not aware of which AD this was or the other brands that they sell (though I've never seen Rolex and Seiko together, from memory), I just don't see it as much of a big deal.

Well I've changed links and bands on my Seiko watches with a cheap tool kit off eBay

Smacks of 'snootyville' to me. WTF they can't even be bothered because it is an 'inferior brand' - to**ers!!!
