Forgot the clocks changed...
Discussion
So, who else forgot this little nugget?
I managed to drag my sorry, hungover arse from bed this morning, get in the car, get to Maccy Dee's and go for my Sunday usual...
'bacon roll meal with OJ and an extra bacon roll please'
Guy at the window just shakes his head with a wry smile...
'afraid not sir'
'You taking the
mate?'
'Breakfast has finished sir'
'Now, look here, its ten past ten, and I want my breakfast... now'
'I'm afraid your too late sir'
I'm thinking to myself, this can't be right...
another wry smile and a chuckle from the lad at the window, about to do some damage by this stage
when he says;
'I've had 3 angry people in the last ten minutes, I'm really sorry sir, but the clocks went forward this morning...'

The worst part is that you know he really enjoyed telling you that!
I suppose when you work at McDonalds you need to take comfort in whatever comes along.
I used to work for them while at college
I used to do stuff like that all the time... believe you have to invent ways to pass the time
I remember whilst working my notice period, doing un-official 'free meal' days
Nice looking mum walks in, orders about eight meals for her various kids and her mates. Got the whole meal together... she says;
'how much is that then?'
'Don't worry about it...'
'what?'
'Don't worry, enjoy your meal'
Walked off with such a grin on my face
The other funny thing was on a friday night, used to get all the max power posse through in their nova's... talking down to you, and swearing etc.
'thats it, talk to me like a c
t and you don't get any dinner young man' Just used to shut the Drive thru windows on them and leave them red faced in front of their chavvy birds.

An old colleague once managed to stroll into work an hour late on the Monday after the clocks had changed
When did it 'twig'?
Must have felt a right muppet, having probably been woken up by an alarm radio, getting in the car and listening to the radio... then the racuous raw of
'The clocks changed, you F
king Wally!!' after walking in the office...

The funny thing was, when he didn't arrive at his usual time I just knew that was what he'd done!! He always was a bit of a gimp!
