There`s a story behind every post......

Anyone who knows the lyrics to Howard Jones` "No-one is to blame" can guess the story. Great lyrics, great song.

I know its a cheesey one but the line in We Built This City by Starship that goes:

Starship said:

I'm looking out over that Golden Gate bridge
on another gorgeous sunny Saturday, I've seen that bumper to bumper traffic

conjures up a real picture.

No mark thats a great song, doesn't matter if its cheesy I have it on my ever-expanding '80s classics' mp3 cd in my car

I've just added a few more to that cd, including 'mr mr - broken wings'

If you don't like it, don't read it. I obviously missed the part of the T&C for these forums saying that every thread must contain the opinion of a teenage american.

despite being a middle aged overweight norfolk boy, i could pretend to have the opinion of an american teenager if needed. always good to have a spare (hear that TVR? did you hear what i said? ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE A SPARE! PERHAPS MAKE A NOTE OF THAT?)

all part of the service.

best wishes,

This guy has got to be up there for lyrics 10 points for artist and singer .

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal

...
Well it's another dirty river
And another dirty scar
And I don't know who's kissing you
And I don't know where you are
So far from home
Don't you think of me sometimes?

If I've been hard on you
I never chose to be
I never wanted no-one else
I tried my best to be
Somebody you'd be close to
Hand in hand
Like lovers are supposed to
