Corin -you need to get The Wall DVD -click on 'Commentary' and Roger Waters and Gerald Scarfe talk you through the film (and other things!!) and will answer most of your questions.
There's also a couple of Wall documetaries on the DVD.
Enjoy!!

Yep, got that DVD it's brilliant the comentary really puts everything into place it's like watching the film for the first time again explaining all the meanings behind the scenes of how they reflect Roger's experiences with his father and Syd etc.
I have to agree Comfortably Numb is a phenominal track but there's something about 'What do we do now?' when linked to Scarfe's animation that makes it so powerful!
On the subject of DVDs I bought 'The making of Dark Side Of Moon' a couple of weeks ago which is brilliant!

Ditto. Strangely it was after reading a long post here on Roger Waters views on the making of Dark Side of the Moon (Thread was 'Hanging on in quiet desperation...'). Very good - Dave Gilmour just playing snippets from the album with a casual nonchalance... bugger.
