Cooling Fan Blower - A6 4.2 Sport Quattro
Discussion
Has anyone heard of a cooling fan that cools the injectors on start-up in a 1999 A6 4.2 Sport Quattro - my car makes a terrible racket on starting for about 30 seconds - you then hear a relay click, and it stops - I have been advised that there is a cooling fan in the engine bay which prevents fuel line vapourisation. I have been told that a similar system is fitted on the turbo-charged TTs. Mine sounds as though the bearings are failing - anyone ever had to have one relaced/repaired - am I looking at a big bill?
