Friends son wants to buy his mum a Rolex for her 60th birthday.It is a silver face bi-metal 28mm that she likes.Is there much movement on price on these or has anyone have any recommendations where to try ?

Just make sure she will be happy with the 28mm size. As we get older our eyes get worse making it harder to read the dial! Plus the trend these days seems to be to size up. My Mrs (and daughter) wear the 34mm size
