Anyone? I need to get my car imported/registered, anyone who has done it?

Headlight are Xenons, and I have the feeling there is a switch to change the beam?

If anyone could give me step-by-step guidance I would most appreciate it.

Cheers,
Fred

I registered my 996.1 GT3 CS back in 2014

- As it is 10yrs+ old you won't need a Certificate of Conformity
- You need to fill in some forms on the HMRC website, which would confirm that the car is VAT and Duty Free (provided you have bought it in the EU, or you have owned it for more than 12mths if you are returning permanently to the UK)
- If the car has litronic lights, you can change them for RHD operation (the user manual has the instructions and how to find the levers)
- Make sure your digital speedo is flipped over to read in MPH
- Run a second wire from the rear fog light across to the other side - the light cluster is already equipped with a bulb holder
- Get the car MOT-ed, using the VIN Number
- Insure the car using the VIN Number
- Using the Reference number provided by HMRC, which proves that all duties are paid, fill in the relevant form to obtain a V5 and also a number plate. DVLA would only take a cheque from me, maybe things have changed for the better since 2014
- Wait for about 10 days
- Enjoy your new toy!
