I suspect this is a simple question, but I assume these hold their value well? I have been offered one at list but it is not my preferred face colour. I'm planning on taking it but will move it on when I get my preferred.

A quick scan of Chrono24 suggests I should be fine from a value perspective?

I'm going to guess that you're waiting for blue and have been offered white smile Blue is more sought after however both hold their value well, if you like the £ seen on Chrono24 for pre-owned examples of the model you've been offered then go for it.

Quite right! Thanks, should I expect a loss or to recover list?

Pretty sure blue will get you your money back, white possibly so though I don't follow 5711 values. If the white is coming from an AD is there a chance they'll take it back from you? Might be worth asking what value they'd give.

It's the blue that is really sought after. But the white shouldn't be a particularly expensive item to buy and then resell at some point in the not too distant future, you might not quite get list back, but it will be pretty close and on the right day to the right dealer you may get there.

Patek will let you exchange the dial after 2 years – not sure the exact cost, but I’ve a figure of £1.5-2K in my head.
That may also include servicing the movement too – phone the boutique in London or Rhone Products UK, and they’ll be able to clarify.
Could be a more cost effective route to take.
