Lakes up by Story Arms? Depends how far you want to go.
OK, not the best shot but there are quite a few locations up there.
Must be a few area's down the bay. Norwegian church as a back drop? Big tube next to it? Ogmore castle or Southern Down beach? Might be crowded this weekend. Blue Anchor, Aberthaw or even the beach next to the power station? Bwlch pass or pass above Hirwaun?
Must get out more

Brecon Beacons is nearest although to be honest, the photo opportunities aren't as frequent or obvious as you'd think. Trouble with Wales is there's never any place you can stop safely.
This one is about halfway across where you turn right off the main road towards Hirwaun (possibly...)
As you can see, i deliberately placed the car so the hill in the background harmoniously melded with the angle of the windscreen...OK, it was the only place to park and I took the shot.

The heads of the vally road from Neath to Merthyr is very picturesque in places with hills and lakes, and there is usually little traffic at the weekend and a number of laybys.
Once at Merthyr turn left up to the beacons, do some shots there then on the way back take the right hand road(I think it's the 4061) just after or before the lake and take the back road that eventually ends up at Nant-Y-Moel. This road also has stopping places, and some great scenery.
Cheers

I have several pics of my car in exactly the same location. Fantastic road in the summer.
I Was out for a couple hours yesterday, just mingled around cardiff really, nowhere decent.
Went to lovetts for my friend to take some pics of the ferrari's but they shut up shop just as we got there, not to worry, the place across the road had 2x 360 Modenas outside, so snuck inbetween them for some classy pics
If anybody is interested, my mate craig is getting into photography in a big way and im sure he would appreciate any oppertunity to practise photographing any of you guy's cars. Let me know and we could sort something out. Then you can have lovely big res pic's of your pride and joys. Or is it just me that does that!
His proper pics of the Ferrari's can be seen here: www.wpce.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=601

I did a Tour of Wales yesterday and today and the trouble with Wales is that it has lots of beautiful scenery and nowhere to stop. The Elan Valley by Rhayader ain't bad for some nice shots and the Horseshoe Pass is pretty reasonable at Llangollen and the other one was an impromptu parking space by the Towyn estuary....
Edited to change ass to Pass. Whoops! LOL.

Funny how you never notice the damn lorry in the background! This is the Towyn estuary.
And sometimes, the background actually becomes academic if you get a good shot of the car. This is the mountain road to Machynlleth
Edited as a picture I deleted from Car Domain keeps appearing and it wasn't there yesterday. Something very strange going on here. Apologies to those of you shocked by the silliness of the photo.
