volvo T5 throttle sticking
Discussion
Now I know that there are several of you closet T5 drivers out there...
my recently acquired 1996 T5 runs on - when I dip the clutch changing up, the revs often climb and then fall. In the same way, when approaching a corner, lifting the throttle (occasionally) does not result in a drop in speed. Is this normal, or is there a problem? I have tried WD40 on the throttle mechanism.
Thanks

Could just be the EMS programme - there can be times when it is necessary to "flare" the reves when unloading the engine (eg during a gearchange) to ensure that the emissions regs are met. Unless its climbing over 500 rpm and lasting more than a sec or so, then I wouldn't worry about it too much...
