Again one of my trips down the A38 to work, 2 slow moving vehicles, one decided yet again to overtake the other on a blaitent uphill stretch. one was doing 55 the other doing 55.5
Did this for TEN MINUTES causing traffic backups for about a mile or so according to the traffic reports by the time they overtook.
The vehicles were...
1 x Nissan Micra in the inside lane and 1 x Ford Fiesta in the outside lane, P and M reg respectivly.
3 of us were trying to flash them out the way and the doddery old occupants of both seemed totally oblivious.
Why the f**k cant people that have cars which are capable of doing at least 60 just do it?! after the first round of cars cleared El Micra there were then loads of lorries that had to get past and the micra REFUSED to eiter slow down or speed up causing further tailbacks.
Havent got this wound up by old people for at least... oooo... 3 weeks now

Its to do with age not the car they are driving-My wife views every time the light goes green as a new race beginning and she drives a Ford Ka.
I have been held up upteem times by Mercedes and Volvos, I didn't see the drivers but you can bet they were old.
Regular retests are the answer, plus uplifting of speedlimits and cameras that flash people driving too slowly in the middle and outer lanes.

OAPs in micras are annoying but what drives me insane is the OAPs that drive big powerful barges that could easily crack 130mph but instead pootle about in 5th gear at 45mph
Ah
That reminds me of the time I came up behind a Golf VR6 with an OAP driver/passenger. Unfortunately, there was no opportunity to overtake and it was a very frustrating experience driving along the B roads at 28 mph for miles and miles... Grrrr!

makes you wonder why they bothered overtaking if the speed diferencial was so little
I know- there should be a leagl requirement that if you go to overtake on a dual carriageway or motorway you should have at least a 5 mph speed differential.
