Hi, my audi TT has been left standing for 5 weeks. Now the oil warning light is coming on, but only once the engine has fully warmed up. The light goes off when driving at speed and using lots of revs, but comes on when driving slowly in town. There is plenty of oil in the car. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with it?

Is it the oil level warning, yellow light, or oil pressure warning, red light?

I would initially try replacing the oil pressure switch because in general they are a part which can easily fail and it is by far the cheapest option.

There is a HUGE difference between a oil LEVEL warning light and a oil PRESSURE warning light and not many people seem to realise that. There seems to be a general view that a light coming on just means throw more oil in, it doesn't!

You need to get the oil pressure & ECU codes read asap to confirm if you have a faulty sensor or a oil pump issue.

Thanks for the advice. It is the red oil pressure light that comes on, but intermittently and only when the car is warm and driving slowly. I think I will have to take it to the garage.

I'd be trying a new pressure switch, plus that. Dropping the sump and cleaning that and the pickup isn't a huge task.

What was the outcome of this. My TT is doing exactly the same?
