Steve's 2002 BMW 330ci sport

Hi All,

This is my BMW 330ci Sport I have owned it since Feb 2016, drove from Kent to Wales to pick this gem up for £2000 with a lot of extra I thought the 12 hour round trip was a good shout. When buying a car there are always problems that the previous seller don't tell you for you to find out at the next service. All the brake lines had a lot of corrosion, Cd player doesn't always works, the window seals let in a lot of water.

After a good service and a new hundred pounds spend the car was running like a dream.

Full leather heated interior, electric seats
Xenon headlights

6 cd changer in boot

Very nice, they look really good in that blue don't they. If those were the only issues with the car then you did very well with this purchase! I've dabbled with the idea of getting one of these as they look like a lot of car for the money.

Since own the car I have made a few subtle changes with changing the chrome kidney grilles to gloss black ones.

Also had problems with the MV1s not hold tyre pressure, after exhausting all avenues of cleaning the wheels, buying new tyres, checking they were straight. I still couldn't find a solution. As a refurbished was the only option to try I thought getting a set of wheels I want rather than the standards would be better.

Picked up a set of BMW e38 Style 32s 18s locally to me got them refurbished and put on.

Hoping to get the arches rolled and coilovers put on in the up coming weeks.

Yeah they are awesome cars for their age. I had a 325ci previously and loved them since. Personally I wouldn't go any lower than a 325 due to them being nearly 2 tonne I felt it was a bit sluggish.

I've got a few small parts top sort out but nothing major. stick the seals down and there is a march on the radio screen. Just a trip down the breakers should be able to sort that out.

I sold my 330ci sport last year:



Mine was an auto, I have a VRS now but so tempted to go back for another but in manual. The engines are superb but put some money aside as there is quite a lot of preventative maintenance due on a car of your age, providing it hasn't all been done of course.

Yes mate I hav already had it thoroughly checked over by BMW and my mechanic. Fingers crossed there isn't anything lurking about.

Yeah I sold my 325ci back in 2014 missed it so much I had to get another in 2016. I'm sure you will get another one soon

Would recommend having them crack tested / checked. I had the same issue of one going down on me.. turned out the inner edge of the rim had cracked, very difficult to spot though but the MV1's are prone to it.

I think that is something I will do for winter wheels for when I come to sell the car.

I was originally going to get some HSD's but on a lot of forums people are raving about the budgets JOM's and tbh for the money of £200 that is a bargain even if they only last a few year I can deal with that. Only looking at a subtle drop 30-40mm.

Lovely car. An ex's father had one new as a company car back in 2002 and always thought it was a lovely looking car with enough power to have fun.

Thanks mate really appreciate it. even though the car is 15years olf its go so many gadgets better than some of the newer cars.

Now the nights are getting lighter. I should be able to get some good pictures of the BM (when I get round to cleaning it)
