Underwater lighting for baths

Just an idea... as I'm installing a new bath. And no, they won't be neons shining on the floor, Nova style!

I know you can get lights as an option with expensive whirlpool jobbies, but is there anywhere I can buy just the lights for a few £ each?

Why do you need lights? "Looking up your relations" I suppose.

You'd be advised firstly to use low voltage, Halogen spots, the power supply should have good isolation of high/low voltages and good earthing is essential. Next the light fitting needs to have an "IP" rating suitable for immersion in water. Can't remember offhand but it goes through "splashproof" to "totally immersable". MMmmh! Think it may be "IP 67" rating, I'll check tommorrow! sorry, not my strong point

I have a shower light but it's primary function is as an extractor fan. I do, however, like the idea of subtle lighting in the bathroom to create a relaxed ambience with soft, warm glows!

Ah yes - candles placed under the bath with heat-proof glass discs above to let the light through. Also keeps the water warm, a la Chinese restaurant hotplates
