Manwel/Manual 991.1 GTS - best if can't buy an R?
Discussion
Manwel/Manual 991.1 GTS - Last of the Naturally Aspirated NON GT manual Products?
If you cannot afford a 911 R, and want a MANUAL Naturally aspirated 911, Surely it is the only way to be able to have that recipe (without getting a GT4)
How many of you chaps on here stuck to your guns and ordered a manual car, and have also kept it?
Seems to me they're as rare as hens teeth... not seen one for sale for ages (albeit JZM currently have a lower specced one at the moment)...
Thoughts Chaps?

Interesting that JZM have another white manual 991.1 GTS in...they sold one a couple of weeks ago within two days. I wonder if it's the same car ?!
IIRC only about 10% of 991's were specced with a manual box so yes they're not common cars. That said as a rule PDK's sell quicker/much more sort after in the 991 without a doubt.
You should also look at manual 997 GTS's which are equally rare....and because the car is slightly more "old school" maybe the manual box is a better fit with it. I think the manual box in the 997 is considered the better gearbox and the 997 has the hydraulic steering. 991.1 undoubtedly sounds better so you need to fit a Sharkwerks exhaust to a 997 to remedy that. They sell for a slight premium to the PDK cars now having been the cheaper car until about a year ago.
I've owned my manual 997 GTS for a year and bloody love it...it's just a great car for country lanes/B roads. Only thing I'd sell it for is a 997.2 GT3 CS I think but that's currently a circa £55k premium.
Whether its 991.1 or 997 I'd definitely say it needs to be a Carrera 2.
