Best battery chager/conditioner for 997

Guys,
After having issues with battery going flat etc due to lack of use.
I am looking at getting a battery charger/conditioner that keeps the battery topped up when the car is not in use. Can anyone recommend a decent one that is easy to use (i.e. may plug in through the cigarette lighter etc), I really can't be arsed to take the battery out, disconnect etc etc.
Was thinking of this with a the cigarette lighter adaptor, does anyone know if the 997 turbo has a live cigarette socket when the ignition is switched off?

I actually have a CTEK 0.8 which I use as conditioner for my Cayman.
I originally got it to keep my old C2S fully charged for those winter weeks when I'd not bother to get it out of the garage. It worked a treat and was more than sufficient to condition and maintain the battery.
Most advice on here would be to get one of the more powerful models, but if you are only looking to maintain rather than regularly fully charge a poor battery, then it's fine.
I got the cigarette lighter adaptor as well and used to just trap the cable in the door when I used it. I've had it for 4 years now with no issues.

The socket should be permanently live, yes.
CTEK seem to the one to buy, but have occasional problems. I got one for my parents and it failed after almost no use, but outside warranty. I've just bought an MXS 10 as I wanted one capable of decent amps when required, not so much trickle charging.
