Factory order delays

A mate of mine just been told by his dealer that the Cayman he ordered end September 2016, has been delayed until August.

Seems to only affect the Cayman - apparently factory renovations the cause.
Anyone else heard this?

As far as I know all the Cayman delays due to the factory issue were a couple of months ago...at least that's when most people heard that reason.

In general though OPC's do seem to have had poor allocations in Q1 i.e. getting less cars through than expected which may have had an impact on your friend's car. There's a conspiracy theory that Porsche are delaying deliveries ahead of the price rise which is expected in Q2 this year.
