Can anyone suggest or has had previous experience of re-applying badges to the engine cover on a 996.
I've recently had the engine cover re sprayed and need to stick my Targa badge back on!
question is, what with??

Foam double sided tape should do it. Attach the lettering to one side the tape - you can use double widths if needed - leaving the other side of the tape with its protective backing strip attached - place on a flat wooden surface or similar, and use a very sharp knife to cut around the lettering. Then peel off the backing strip and attach to the boot. You get only one shot at this - so best to do some dummy runs and use masking tape to outline the position of the lettering on the boot lid.

Thanks guys, Like the idea of the foam tape, might have a practice first. and buying a new badge at £40.00 seems a bit excessive!

When you discover how fiddly and time consuming it will be to get the tape cut perfectly, I think you may find that the 40 quid is well spent. wink
