Turbo v's Supercharger

Any one had any experience of fitting either of these as an aftermarket modification.

Preferbaly to a 6 cyl 2.5 engine.

I remember reading an 'Car' article probably 10 years ago about a company that was supercharging e30 325's. I think it took them to about 220 bhp. I seem to remember it was much easier to supercharge as there wasnt much room on RHD 6cyl BM's with manifold and steering column being so close together. The old 80's 745 which was a turbo'd 735 was only in LHD for this reason apparently.
