Viperman - did you watch the film from a couple of years back with that DiCaprio bloke in it? If you haven't, it's the easiest way to get at some of the messages in the play IMO. Just then have to map them back to the original text.

Either way - bummer - I hated English Lit at school... I mean some of the books we did were actually great and some were shit, but without exception, they were all taught in the dreariest way possible..

But then what *is* gonna get a 15yr old lad interested in the Bard when girls, PS2s, Mobile Phones, PH and MadDog 20/20 are calling?

I'm thinking of doing a degree that'd include some English Lit now though.. so in a way, wish I'd paid attention in the first place..

Have you had a look at this lot? www3.open.ac.uk/courses/subjects/literature_page.shtm
Beware the dreaded "feminist perspective" though, seems to be all-pervasive these days...wouldn't mind sitting in on the seminar when you get the chance to tackle that though!
You can mix & match courses with the OU so if you don't want to do Eng Lit exclusively there's plenty of others to consider. Not an expensive option either.

...By the way, recent OU students have included Catherine Zeta Jones and Jerry Hall, not that that would influence you at all, of course

If you think you are stressed, I have had to just start a full disk check on a naughty NAS drive (Network Attached Storage), which started over three hours ago. It's still running, and seeing as its a 380Gb server, I think I'm gonna be here for a while...

Mate of mine got a Composites Engineering paper back with the following written on it: "If you're going to copy chunks out of a website, make sure it's not a websie I helped make!" .... he still got a B though

Bring it into the 21st century. Make one of them greens and the other pistonheads, then spend 3000 words debating the benefits the internal combustion engine, easy all you need is a bit of imagination
