Taking a little inspiration from the triggers broom thread.....

Can you buy just a frame and forks on cycle to work? I've got a 2015 Scott Speedster 30 that I've extensively modified with a full ultegra wheel and groupset. The bike is great now, but I have a hankering for a titanium or carbon frame - would be easily part or fully financed under cycle to work, but was wondering if anyone had tried this?

Depends on the scheme and the terms your employer sets but in principle yes you can just buy a frameset, stick your old bits on it and use it, just check the ownership clauses in the terms.

It's a Government scheme and a frame does not qualify.

How about buying a bike for £100 and spending £900 on 'accessories' (i.e. the desired frame). I'm guessing that the accessory spend needs to be a percentage of the bike cost though...
