Friends,

When I purchased my 996 C4 in May of last year, I had it inspected by PorscheTech in North London.

There were a few items that needed doing and the bill came to £2,350. A bit expensive i thought I but had little to compare it against so paid the bill.

This included a full inspection, borescope, front/rear discs/pads/sensors, 6x ignition coils, 6x spark plugs and a bit of welding to get the PSE working again.

I really like the chap that runs the place and he was very complementary about the car as a whole. It was also super convenient for me given where I live at work.

4 months on - I had the car fully serviced at Hillcrest Specialist Cars in Henley - £600 - as I've known the owner for a while and value his opinion. Very out of my way though so not convenient as a long term solution.

I'm now thinking about servicing the car this year and am a bit stuck as to where to go! My neighbour has strongly recommended JZM as that's where he services his 993.

My question to you all:

1) is all this chopping and changing on the service record a bad thing?
2) should I give JZM a go or shall i stick with PorscheTech?

Thoughts?
