Has anyone come across these? They seem very new and I think they are absolutely stunning. I am very tempted by the “rudolf caracciola" version (Grey dial, brown leather strap)

I like the IWC in-house movement, that they are only 42mm for my slim wrists, Vintage look, can pull it off in a suit, smart casual and jeans, etc etc..... Any experience of the watch before I pull the trigger would be appreciated

(Or "similar" alternatives around the £6/7k mark)

I purchased the Rudolf just before Xmas, see the incoming thread. It's a very comfortable watch.

I look forward to it....I bought the Rudolph. It's sat in its box waiting for a first occasion (probably find an excuse to wear it today). I just know that the polished bezel will attract lots of scratches but once I'm over the hump with some I'll relax.

Really loving the look of the strap, not seen anything like it before. I plan to get some pics up

Quick one for now

Congrats, you're right about the bezel, mine has a few already!

I assume these are resistant to magnetism hence the use of the Ingenieur name, but given their completely different appearance from the rest of the Ingy range, and the fact that they do not look remotely like a "tool watch" I'm not convinced by the branding decision.

I'm not criticising the watches by the way, just the name IWC have given them.

Edit - Having read a bit more, albeit quickly, I can't see anything about the anti magnetic properties of these watches. The use of the Ingenieur name seems to be mainly down to an aesthetic visual link to the original Ingenieur.

I tend to agree Andy, could quite easily ditch the Ingenieur and just call it a a vintage chronograph or something. They've linked it to vintage motor racing in a similar approach to the IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer. I'm not that partial to the typical Ingenieur style tho so suits me. I love it!
