Hello
At the request of myself I have had the previous thread removed as I have heard nothing so are progressing to the Small Claims Court as there is really nothing more I can do. It was good to get some sound advice and its surprising what people can find online. A certain fast Fred may be a director of a series of linked companies!

Anyway back to ths thread which is a positive thread to try to find the rear.

The news is that the rear is in France. I managed to get stills of video Surveillance from the Port Authority in Newhaven. I have emailed the 3 DIR regions and my wife has spent this morning calling as many of the DIR yards as possible.

I beleieve the route was N27, A151, A150, N1338, N338, A13, A154, N154, N12, D491, D938, D301, A28, D307, D767, D347, D938, D743, D8, D611, D650, D150

If anyone can help I would be very grateful

Terry

At least your making progress , fast Fred's post was very blunt and straight to the point , I'm not sure if I was the only one to see it but it was obvious it was someone connected to the company and very defensive of it .
It's a route I use in part when I travel down but im not there until may . I just hope it wasn't hit by a wagon or similar . Best case scenario a farmer found it and put it aside .
Good luck

Thanks Paul

Someone from an Angloinfo region found me the info! Really good to know there are so many people offering help and advice. I have been very lucky that I am a friend (in name only) of Fuzz Townsend on facebook. He shared the post to his 5000 friends and over 9000 followers and they are resharing. Whats great is I can post updates as I have on the original post.

Let's hope this sorry affair comes good for you Terry. All the hard work that we all (as petrolheads) put into achieving our goals comes hard at times. And you didn't deserve this bad turn of fait.

Update
Well I haven't found it yet but boy have I emailed a lot of French departments!
The trailer passed through 6 departments but they all have different organisational structures.
Having now checked with all the DIR regions , I have now gone to the Conseils Departmental for each area and they have forwarded to each sub department.
Fingers Crossed!

Final Update.
Despite posting and emailing everywhere and spending a long trip looking, the old rear did not turn up
But the 2nd shipper John finally turned up with a new rear. He took partial responsibility and paid and transported a new rear section. To be fair to him a he's a gentleman.
The original shipper Riviera Transport did nothing, playing hard ball all the time. I had the small claims court papers all ready to serve them should the rear not arrive. The fact that they put my prescious car on Shiply.com without my knowledge is truly deplorable and should be noted by anyone who would consider using them.

Ah that's great that you have had the part replaced Terry.
Glad John came good for you.
