Just sorting out insurance for the 3200 Assetto Corsa I'm taking delivery of next week.

Trawling through old posts, I've come across the following as recommended insurers for Maseratis:

-Norwich Union
-Liverpool & Victoria
-Tesco
-First Direct
-Churchill
-Direct Line
-Adrian Flux Insurance
-Nowell and Richards

I've tried a few of these, but they are all coming in over £1K (32 years old, 7 years NCB, no tickets or accidents, performance car history, car left on driveway, Berkshire postcode).

Anyone offer any other companies worth contacting?

I'm wondering if the ones I used for my past TVRs would be of use, namely:
- Sunninghill
- Classic Line
- A Manning
- Peart
- Cheam
- A1
- Footman James
Anyone got a result with any of these?

Cheers,
Michael

You'll do well in my opinion to get it under a grand.

Mine last year was around about 1350 if I remember, thats age 30, full no claims and parked off road in a quiet surrey village...

Ha ha. Hey Darren, yea it seems like we follow a similar car pattern! Seem to remember you were toying with the idea of a 3200 not so long ago - cant be tempted or is a Sagaris still the family option!?

Car is just having it full main service with cambelt, so looking forward to getting it next week. Warranty is Maserati Trident one, and hopefully pays out for something!

Cheers,
Michael

Try Tesco Insurance.

I paid £1,500 PA for my 996. I am 33 and my wife is 28 and we're both on the insurance. When we changed to the Gransport, I paid an xtra £20 to change and that was it for a £74K car including options.

We also use them for the Cayenne S and our Elise and think they are by far the most competitive and EASY to deal with.

I don't think it'll be either to be honest. Watch this space (should have something sorted in the next few weeks )

First got it when I was 28 and it was 1400 (I think) this time round its 1200. Kindof what I budgeted on tbh, best of luck getting lower - but watch the level of cover.

Thanks for the help all.

Managed to get a sub 1K (actually £970pa) insurance quote through A Plan (www.aplan.co.uk) - thanks Guy for the tip. Would never have known about them otherwise!

The bonus is the cover is also unlimited mileage, and the same excess as the rest at £500.

Excellent personal service too, none of that call centre rubbish! Quite refreshing to deal with humans who actually knew what they were talking about...

Cheers,
Michael
