I need to have my vintage FM serviced:-

1. Has anyone sent a watch back to the FM factory to have serviced and if so what was the experience like and the cost?

2. If not who do you chaps use (in London) to service your vintage watches? Price and experience again please.

Thanks in advance.

How old is vintage? I think the brand has only been around since the nineties. Despite the complications the base movements are mainly ETA-based so should be serviceable by most competent watchmakers. Have you tried somewhere like Watchfinder?

I personally would class a complicated watch that is 26 years old as vintage...

However, I've heard of Watchfinder but not used them myself so how does their service rate for quality and price as (no offence) I've no idea if people class them as competent or not?!

They are an official certified service centre for Omega/Cartier/IWC/Panerai and AP so I guess that makes them reasonably competent.

But your FM might be better back at FM for the full treatment but of course that will come with a price.
