So after a handful of Fitbits and an Apple Watch Series 1 and 2 but always going back to my auto's and GShocks I have been looking at an alternative to monitor steps and activity and alerts etc... and saw the Chronos disc about a year ago and finally got my hands on one in NYC last week in Macy's

First impressions are great and it's hot swappable between watches very easily (although it does take a little strength to remove the disc from the case back as the microsuction is quite strong!

Gratuitous piccy ...

Interesting idea. Means you can wear other watches!

I've mentioned the Montblanc Estrap a couple of times here - I think a swappable add on is certaiinly going to be the way to go for those of us that enjoy proper watches but still want the smartwatch functionality. Has to have a screen for notifications, though.

That's interesting. Can't find the price for the E-strap alone, though.

Was supposed to be released on it's own for 249 or 299 depending om strap material IIRC, but has been unavailable every time I've looked.

Think it's the right concept, someone should run with it.

The local Montblanc store informed a friend that enquired "don't bother".

I'm still looking (not that hard) for something like this :-

The Estrap looks decent, I personally wanted to avoid an extra screen and just have notification alerts though, which this does via custom illumination and vibration ... I think the market will evolve greatly for this sort of device in the coming couple of years and for $99 it has become relatively disposable when a newer/better tech or solution comes out smile

Hm, don't know if the iWatch could handle the violence that you'd get from a desk jockey wearing it face down!
