Can any of you folk inform a remotely located expat when these fall?
Need to travel back to blighty soon and I choose NOT to do it when the airports and skies are full of school-run mums etc.

Thanks WG,
Guess that means I got loads of time to book flight and hotel then.

Oh BTW WG, don't send 'em back on the 10th in case Social Services do you for desertion, cos it's a SUNDAY!!!
But thanks again anyway.

Apologies for the thread hijack, but it is pertinent!!

Does anybody else understand the phenomenon we seem to get on a regular basis where the kids get a two week holiday (and the staff get time off too), only to be told that they don't go back until the Tuesday

"As it has been designated a teacher training day."

Why the f*** don't they have them during the 13 weeks of holidays they actually get, instead of giving the kids extra days.

Before the bullets fly, I am aware that teachers do partake of some work during the holidays

All fecked up this year. I break up tomorrow and go back 13th April, but my friends at another school have Good Friday and Easter Monday off, but then have another 3 weeks of school before a 3 week holiday.

Clear as mud, eh?
