Does anybody know anything about the American car company in Barnes?

A friend of mine in Scandinavia is looking at a car they have for sale and asked me to see if any info was available.

I don't have any actual experience of them, apart from gawping at the stock, but I can confirm they have been in business a long time; they were in Kingston on Thames before they moved to Barnes and were trading there 30 + years ago to my knowledge, so they must be doing something right. I guess their location won't lead to bargain prices though!

Judging from their website they have moved again from Barnes to Fulham?

When they were in Kingston it was called American Carriage Company. I believe they have been in several guises over the years. I think its run by Dominic these days who took it on from his old man when they were in Barnes.

I only bought one car from them and that was while they were still in Kingston and I dealt with Dominic's old man, Stephen.

I can't speak for them now but back in the day I had no problems with them. Service department back then used to be run by Ian Goss who set up on his own when they left Kingston.

They have been in their current guise for sometime so I guess must be doing something right!
