Every few minutes in NP&E someone starts up a new thread along the lines

'Bristol Police taser their own race advisor'

about a specific tasering incident in Bristol

Its closed down and the posters are told to post in a general thread

'Home secretary green lights police to use taser'

Why
Surely the top thread is the specific case posters want to talk about?
