As per the title really. What happened?
It's disappointing to contribute to a thread that mysteriously disappears.
I thought the policy was mods would delete any rule breaking posts and ban offenders.

Deleted after a complaint from the company itself, as I understand it.

As was the thread asking why it was deleted. I would expect this thread to follow in 3, 2 ,1...

Saves starting another thread asking why the thread that asked why the Kahn thread was deleted was deleted.

it started off talking about the tastless chav wagons (they are)

Then went on about how he came across as a prize bellend (he does)

then hyopthised about criminal activities which is probably what got it canned

I read 12 pages or so of it, and yes it did mention once or twice that the Khan brand appeared to be tasteless tat (clearly in the opinion of the posters). (And that what the man had done to the Vantage was answerable only to the "crimes against humanity" court)
To be fair, many commented that Khan himself had built a considerable business selling such tasteless tat, and that should be applauded. (Though some other didn't applaud)

Who am I to judge - I quite like French cars. smile

This. Although two of the three points that Mark's made in the post above were somewhat substantiated by people based on their experience of the product and the owner.

The final point was, as hypothesised on the thread, unsubstantiated. Many people however eluded to there being no smoke without fire.

In all seriousness though, I don't want to go over the opinions expressed in the other thread.
I just genuinely wanted to know why it was deleted.
Is it that deleted a thread is easier than banning long standing prolific posters?

Hi,

It was deleted as there were some outlandish accusations and comments on the thread and, understandably, Kahn weren't very happy about it.

HTH.

Their fate is between them and the moderators, it doesn't need to be discussed publicly. smile
